Who is the Conference for?
The conference is designed primarily for pastors, church auxiliary leaders, Christian educators, teachers and potential writers of Sunday School Publishing Board materials.

General Assembly-Plenary Sessions
Christian Educators—All delegates are advised to take advantage of the general lectures and worship experience. Each lecture is an independent presentation that is intended to challenge us for preparedness to defend our faith with biblical integrity.

Conference ID and Security
Everyone is required to wear Conference Identification at all times, with the exception of the Banquet. No one will be admitted into Conference lectures, modules, or classes without Conference Identification. Special security has been added to monitor the Conference for compliance.

Commencement Service
The Commencement Service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, at 7:00 p.m. All persons who complete the Pastor’s Alternative Certificate of Progress Program (COPP) or Dean’s Certification courses during 2010 are invited to participate. All graduation participants are to wear black. Participants are to assemble on Wednesday, December 8, at 6:45 p.m. in the West Ballroom at the Renaissance Hotel.

Meals
During the SSPB Conference 2010, you may find it convenient to have your meals at the Nashville Convention Center or the Renaissance Hotel restaurant. Please check those facilities for times and locations.

Parking
Parking will be available at the garage (across the street from the Renaissance Hotel) at a cost of $8.00 per day (with no “in and out” privileges). Parking at the Renaissance Hotel is $27.00 plus tax per day (with “in and out” privileges and valet).

Registration Summary
The Sunday School Publishing Board expects participants to register and pay in advance for the conference. All attendees will receive a confirmation of their registration. Online registration will begin July 15, 2010. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact the Division of Christian Education Accreditation and Credentials at 1-800-359-9398, ext. 5795 or 5771 to make sure you are registered.

Register Early and Save!
Early registration begins July 15–November 1, at the cost of $125 per delegate. Registrations must be received online (www.sspbnbc.com) or via mail by November 1, to qualify for early registration. Mailed registration forms must be postmarked for November 1, 2010, to qualify for the early registration fee of $125.00. The Pastor’s Alternative course of $150.00 is not eligible for the early registration discount. The regular registration fee of $150.00 will apply to all registrations received after November 1, 2010. A $25.00 service charge will be applied to checks for insufficient funds. If mailing the registration form, send with payment (check, cashier’s check, or money order) to the Division of Christian Education Accreditation and Credentials, 330 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37201-1188. Online registration can be done with Visa, Mastercard or credit/debit cards.

Cancellation Policy
There is a $50 non-refundable cancellation fee after October 15 and November 1, 2010. No cancellation reimbursements will be allowed after November 1. The registrant may transfer registration to another person who must complete a registration form online or on site, and present receipt of the registered delegate. Conference registrations are NOT transferable to the next year. All requests for cancellations must be in writing and received through the online registration site, fax (615-242-2825), or e-mail (christianed@sspbnbc.com), or via mailing to the Division of Christian Education Accreditation and Credentials. All refunds will be processed by January 15, 2011.

NEW! Continuing Education Units (CEU) Credits Available
American Baptist College has agreed to grant Continuing Education Units (CEU) for courses offered at the Sunday School Publishing Board’s Conference of Christian Education. No additional academic work will be required. Those who qualify for the SSPB Course Card will also be eligible to receive the CEU credit. The registration fee for the CEU credit will be $50. More information will be available at the Conference in Nashville.

Seminar for Young Pastors and Ministers
oung ministers will study such practical matters as church administration, staff relationships, community leadership, ministerial ethics, work with congregational management, and other professional issues not normally handled in a classroom setting. The students will review denominational stucture and associated ministry. Likewise, the participants in this seminar will take an in-depth look at the 2010 Conference theme. This seminar is designed to bulid confidence and skills that lead to more effective ministry.
