In order to better organize and coordinate the work of the Christian education program, its work is divided among regional lines of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. We have assigned a regional coordinator to each region. It is the task of the regional coordinator to implement and support the work of the Christian education program in each region. All regional coordinators are a part of the SSPB/Christian Education Division staff.
The regional coordinator serves as the liaison between the state convention and the Division of Christian Education Accreditation and Credentials (DCEAC), and is an additional resource for policies and procedures promulgated by the DCEAC.
Upon approval of all accreditation work by the state director, the application (submitted by the dean) is forwarded to the DCEAC. If there is no functioning state director, the dean sends the school application packet directly to the regional coordinator.
For the purpose of effectively implementing the Christian education program throughout the National Convention, regional coordinators are appointed and supervised directly from the DCEAC.
Programs that are located in Germany and the Virgin Islands are assigned to a regional coordinator for administration and support.
