The Sunday School Publishing Board currently has openings available for Fall and Spring interns in various departments of the company.
Requirements
The following is an outline of prerequisites for all of our internships:
1. All interns must be current students attending a college or university.
2. The intern must be of junior or senior status.
3. Interns must work a minimum of eight (8) hours per week, per semester.
4. Interns must be high-energy, detail-oriented, and team players.
5. Internships do not provide compensation but will reimburse for parking.
Marketing Internship
Duties
- Provide support to Marketing staff
- Assist with the implementation of creative marketing strategies
- Assist in the production of the monthly newsletter and quarterly catalogs
- Brainstorm creative concepts for promotional items and other SSPB products
- Conduct marketing research on various trends and events in the publishing industry
- Contribute to the design and advancement of the Web site
- Work at workshops or conferences, if necessary
Qualifications
- Proficient in computer skills in all Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Personable, organized, dedicated, and CREATIVE!

Editorial Internship
Duties
- Provide support to the Editorial Department
- Assist in proofreading and copy editing
- Assist in fact checking and research for publications
- Brainstorm creative concepts for promotional items and other SSPB products
Qualifications
- Possess computer skills in all Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Possess strong written and communication skills
- Knowledge of grammar, punctuation, standard proofreading marks, and overall publications process is a must
- Able to focus on multiple documents simultaneously, and possess good organizational skills and a strong sense of attention to detail

Graphic Design Internship
Duties
- Do research for new assignments
- Layout corrections
- Create company and book-marketing materials
- Brainstorm cover designs and work on concepts
- Finalize files for print
- Prepare images for layout
- Assist with a variety of other design-related projects
Qualifications
- Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft Programs
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
- Possess Web research skills
- Possess a self-starting personality
- Possess a creative, adaptable outlook and high attention to detail

Information Technology (IT) Internship
Duties
- Basic technical duties
- Some Web authoring/development
- Network Management (Microsoft Windows Server 2008 - 64 bit, QuickBooks Enterprise 8.0, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard)
- Building/imaging computers (Windows 2007 and Microsoft Office Suites)
- Assist in administrative duties while balancing multiple projects
Qualifications
- Proficient in computer skills in computer technology
- Knowledgeable of web-development software and applications
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Be personable, organized, and dedicated
